Zac was the Andgar service technician who responded to my request for troubleshooting an error message pertaining to my heat pump outdoor sensor. He did an outstanding job! Zac knew exactly what to do—he easily located the outdoor sensor and was prepared with the replacement lithium batteries needed for the sensor, which he paid for out of his own pocket. My wife and I moved from San Diego, CA to Blaine, WA in the midst of last month's monumental snow/ice storm. Our house was vacant, and we were surprised by the number of heating issues it had. Most critical of all was the way we got (and did not get) hot water despite the fact that the house has two functioning 50-gallon tanks. Several reputable HVAC contractors, who were booked up for several weeks, were unable to figure out why hot water (in the shower) starts very hot and turns very quickly to warm and then cold. We were really frustrated but decided to try one more contractor. I called ANDGAR, a name I was not familiar with but that had good reviews on the internet. I was really hoping that they would send me an older and experienced technician who would be able to figure out what the others couldn't. Instead, they sent a young, polite technician by the name of Jon Brouwer, who I didn't think would have a chance! I am writing this review to share that I am very happy that I was totally wrong! Jon listened well to our observations and very methodically started eliminating what the problems couldn't be. He was able, very cleverly, to zoom in on and diagnose the problem. It was a malfunctioning valve, which, as soon as he turned it off, allowed hot water to keep flowing with no end in sight. In all honesty, this was the highlight of our move to Washington. There is nothing more important than having the patience to apply a methodical approach to diagnose the problem. We are deeply indebted to Jon and will ask for him, in person, when it's time to service all our HVAC, water heaters, and fireplaces. Somehow this review, which I wrote in Feb. 2019, has just got posted now (I may have forgotten to click on the post button!). The reason I am writing again (on Jan. 23, 2026) is to add that I just had Maddy at Andgar Mechanical send me a technician to replace a 26-year-old water heater which has just failed today. A young professional and very polite young man by the name of Jackson Apol showed up. After talking with him a little, I decided to give him a chance, and I am glad I did. He did an extremely marvelous and impeccable job throughout the replacement, which left us very thankful to Andgar. My wife reminded me that's why we keep going to Andgar.

I had Andgar come out to take a look at a hot water heater connected to my radiant floor heat. YouTube University pointed me in the right direction of the fix, but I was not 100% confident in my ability to bleed the air out of the line when filling the tank back up. The last thing I wanted to do was mess up my heat during the winter because of some overlooked step. Andgar agreed with my assessment of the issue, which always makes you trust a company and their work that much more. They also pointed out another item that required attention that I likely would have overlooked. While the technician was assessing the root cause, I asked some questions to better understand my system. Shoutout to Calvin for taking the time. The price was reasonable, and the issue got resolved quickly. 10/10 would recommend Andgar to anyone needing work done on their hot water heater, but the 1,000+ reviews kind of speak for themselves.

The Andgar electrical team (Broc and Amber) were prompt, knowledgeable, experienced, curious, and polite. This crew was the fourth group of professionals in our apartment to diagnose our bath fan. Broc and Amber were exceptional for how they acknowledged our repair need. These two demonstrated the extra challenge to evaluate our problem. I was impressed by their connection and teamwork with an Andgar associate to locate the apartment's attic access. Great example of tenacious resolve in addressing the attic leak. I had the furnace repair guy (Roman) out first AM, thank you Mandy. He gave his arrival time and came out promptly and diagnosed and fixed my furnace. He replaced the defective part and then checked the furnace to make sure no other components were affected. I was very pleased with the responsiveness, communication, and professionalism of the team!
